I am not sure if it is the cold weather we are experiencing this year or the fact that christmas is
only a few months away that I find myself drawn to the colour RED .
Well these are a few new things that I have been making.
Christmas Angels (cotton crochet,tule,beads, ribbon and a whole lot of patiences)
Felt Hearts,stuffed with love and finished with croched flowers and bead.
Cushion covers embroidered birds in cages, still waiting for their inners.

Loved all the different techniques,textures and mediums used.
Probably because I grew up with a mom who sewed all her
life, these things are very familiar to me.

Recycled Curtains

A friend gave me some denim curtains.This is what I have managed to make from them so far.A slip cover for the headboard ,with stripe detail.A cushion using the tabs that were on top of the curtains already.And then with some red curtain I had , I made this fun cushion,with ( designed and digitized) embroidery detail. All for her nephew's room:}

It is party time in our house! We have just celebrated our granddaughters 5th Birthday.And now our baby daughters 21st.Wow! what fun.I have spent far too much time playing with my new Serif Craft Artist program and will have to do some sewing for the next I HEART MARKET. This is the invite I put together and then had it printed locally.Was not expensive and very personal.I also got Abigail to choose colours and embelishments along the way, so it was great fun for her too.

Oh how I love photo shop! My grand daughter was not feeling well at school so one of the teachers

LITTLE CUPCAKE DOLLIES

Got an urge to make a dolly.
And this is what transpired.!
My gran daughter saw it and put her order in immediately.
She of course gave me full instructions on what
hers should look like , from the colour of the skin had to be pink to the fabric of the dress and then right down to the green crosses on her hands for her
nail varnish.Dierk says she is spending too much
time in my sewing room.

SWEET CHRISTMAS

Something sweet is taking place
in my home.I decided to make chocolates to hang on the tree
this year. They look good enough to
eat ! I have made them out of cold porcelain so not edible and will not attract any ants or melt .I was amazed
how tempted I was to take a bite when I had finished them.
My other favorite this year is the strawberry ,can't make enough of these.

with some great friends.We took our
grandaughter with and she just took to
horse riding! We were so impressed

At the weekend my grand daughter danced in her first ballet show. She is four and was a chocolate box! Their costumes gave me an idea for these Ferrero Rocher Bunnies!
